Sex With Emily was a powerhouse of empowerment. With a large base of existing, loyal followers, Emily came to us to bring the brand to the next level. She was embarking on her Master Class and the position of the brand needed to align with both her and her expertise. All without any turnoffs.
Sex is ‘taboo’. Sex is considered ‘sleazy’. But everybody deserves a good sex life. We needed to challenge cultural taboos, misinformation, and awkward sex talks to create a future where people can deeply connect and shamelessly embrace pleasure—oh yes. What’s a brand position that lasts and always feels good? Good Sex Talks.
Time was of the essence with the MasterClass on the horizon. We had to show up to class as the experts. Part of any successful transformation is a rollout strategy. Getting the brand and message where our audience looks for us most—on social—allowed us to get the brand on the right footing in time for the launch. A new identity, revamped art direction, fresh illustration guidelines, and a comprehensive messaging strategy led the way to even greater growth on the brand's most important outlet—social. We quickly followed up with a powerful overhaul of the SWE media hub.
Emily is the center of the brand. But we want to go bigger. The goal of the SWE identity was to go from a personal brand to a media powerhouse. You don’t get there overnight but you don’t get there by thinking small either. Big shifts like moving from Sex With Emily to SWE were all accounted for in the brand positioning and the identity to ensure we landed ready for prime time. We were hypergrowth ready.
